Here we are in Sicily. The clock has gone back twice in two nights then the cruise line says it has to show the time of Athens. What time is it I want to know. Is it time to get up?

Anyway we managed to make our walking tour of Catania. It is very hot and within half an hour the guide says ‘who else wants the toilet’ we put up our hands and off to McDonald’s we trot , no toilet paper but Clare and I are trained and know to carry tissues in Europe. Catania has beautiful architecture and lots of churches especially Baroque. The frescoes are amazing. Vincenzo Bellini was born here and died age 34. Mt Etna still erupts and we saw ash in the streets. I did not feel particularly big energy for this city but the churches were beautiful and we did not go inside St Francis of Assisi and Mary Cathedral.
